In a conventional air distribution system, to balance the supply of the air among the distribution system, a device called Damper is installed, by using a simple nut and bolt, near the exit of the air from the air distribution system (duct system). To regulate the air supply, the damper is rotated in clockwise or anti clockwise. As the damper is fastened by a nut only, so sometimes it become loose during balancing and hence precise balancing of the air system cannot be achieved. Most of the times the nut is unapproachable, after the completion of construction, so it is very difficult to precisely balance the air system.
